Membership 

Being a member of British Reining gives you many advantages. You can show your horse in BR and NRHA events, you can win valuable trophies and prices, you can advertise for free in our classifieds section and even more important you are part of the British Reining and have your word to say in the development of the sport.

Green as Grass

£20

This membership is for inexperienced riders who may be nervous about competing for the first time. We hold classes and warm-ups specifically for Green-as-Grass members.
Entry level - 25 points and below, or for one year only
No Voting Rights

 

 

 

Rookie

£30

This membership allows a rider to compete in Rookie and Green as Grass classes only. We would advise new members take up a Full non-pro membership which would then allow them to compete in non-pro classes as well.

Non-Pro

Full membership for any rider who is not a professional.
We offer Limited Non-Pro,  Entry level-500 points and below
Intermediate Non-Pro. Entry level 1000 points and below & Non-Pro classes.
A Non-Pro rider can also compete in open classes.

Open

Professional riders only. We offer Limited Open Entry level- 500 points and below Intermediate Open Entry level-1000 points or below, & Open classes.

The owner of any horse that competes in BR classes at any show must be a British Reining member.
The owner member will have Voting Rights

 

 

 

Youth

Aged 18 years under on 1st January during the current year.

Supporter

Available to anyone who wishes to support British Reining.

Full
Non-competing

Available to those who wish to take full Non-competing membership and financially support British Reining paying full fees.

Your membership may be up-graded at any time of year on payment of the difference between the fees. However we strongly advise that consideration is given to the fact that a Full Membership entitles you to compete in higher level classes if you so choose whilst at a show.

Please Note: Membership of the NRHA is not compulsory to British Reining members. The benefit of joining the association is that NRHA hold classes at most UK shows and this gives a wide variety of classes for competitors. On joining NRHA you will receive a book of the patterns used in British Reining classes, as we are the National Affiliate of the NRHA.

Please do not send NRHA applications for membership or renewals to British Reining as we are not able to process these memberships.

Please note that the point system has been revised for 2009, since the printing of the handbook.

Year End Awards

British Reining recognises the consistent participation and performance of members with Year End Awards based on points earned throughout the year for various divisions. ie : Green-as-Grass, Rookie, Youth., Ltd. Non-Pro, Int. Non-Pro, Non-Pro, Ltd Open, Int Open and Open. These awards take the form of trophy buckles and are presented at a ceremony at the Championship Show
