You will already have received several notifications regarding the British Reining AGM next Saturday. This reminder is to let you know that Janice Shardlow from the BEF will be attending and will brief us all on the new criteria for the new drug testing procedures. (Thank goodness this is for the horses, not the riders)

The BEF will, at random, attend any show where BR reining classes are being run, which is all of them, and will at random, drug test a number of horses at any level.

For example I understand that the majority of herbal calmers contain banned substances and if Bute is used it can take up to two weeks for it not to show positive in the blood test.

These are only a few of the examples that were discussed at a meeting with the BEF, and Janice will be available for any of your questions or concerns
.
Please try and make this date available in your diary and we look forward to seeing you there.
If you have any queries, please contact Peter Lane 07711 414185 or email from the website. www.britishreining.co.uk
